Shipment & Handling

We ship most items from our warehouse in the Netherlands and we have three main shipment zones.

Zone 1 : Netherlands

Small and light products (up to 250 gram) that can be shipped in a bubble envelope or in flat carton boxes (eg. fly-lines) will be shipped at a flat rate of € 3,00

Within the Netherlands we use TNT-Post "Zeker-pakket" (which includes an insurance up to € 500,00) for most of our shipments, which will cost € 7,50 (up to 2 kg.), € 8,75 (2 - 5 kg.) or € 10,00 (5-10 kg.)

In the case of packages exceeding 10 kg. or over 140 cm. in length we will contact you to work out details and shipping costs.

Zone 2 : EU Countries

Small and light products (up to 250 gram) that can be shipped in a bubble envelope or in flat carton boxes (eg. fly-lines) will be shipped at a flat rate of € 3,00

Within the EU we use fully insuranced TNT-Post Priority EU-Pack or GLS Europack on all orders, which includes an insurance up to € 500,00 at € 15,00 (up to 2 kg.), € 20,00 (2 - 5 kg.) or € 25,00 (5-10 kg.)

In the case of packages exceeding 10 kg. or over 150 cm. in length we will contact you to work out details and shipping costs.

Zone 3 : NON-EU Countries within Europe and rest of the World

Small and light products (up to 250 gram) that can be shipped in a bubble envelope or in flat carton boxes (eg. fly-lines) will be shipped at a flat rate of € 6,00

TNT-Post Priority Global-Pack for packages not exceeding 105 cm. and up to 2 kg., including insurance up to € 115,00 at € 25,00 (up to 2 kg.), € 35,00 (2 - 5 kg.) or € 55,00 (5-10 kg.)

Packages exceeding 105 cm. or packages that need Full Insurance can only be shipped through UPS at reduced actual costs.

Some small packages with low weight and value (under € 100) can be shipped WITHOUT INSURANCE through Priority Small Packet at about € 10,00. Just send us an email at contact@northernflies.com if that is your choice.

Delivery Times

We will normally dispatch your order within 3 business days. If, for whetever reason, we can’t do that, we will contact you.

Zone 1 : normally within 1-2 working days from date of shipment
Zone 2 : normally within 3-5 working days from date of shipment
Zone 3 : normally within 5-10 working days from date of shipment
